Sahodaran was an Indian Malayalam-language newspaper published in Kerala from 1917 to 1956. It was the mouthpiece of Sahodara Sangham, an organisation founded by Sahodaran Ayyappan to promote rationalistic thoughts and social justice and to fight against superstitions that prevailed in the society .
Sahodaran.in is a Kerala-focused digital news portal committed to bringing readers timely, reliable and relevant news from across Kerala and beyond.
Our mission is simple — to keep people informed, connected and aware of the issues that matter to them.
From breaking news and local developments to politics, society, business, education, technology, health, culture, entertainment and important public-interest stories, Sahodaran.in aims to provide news that is informative, meaningful and accessible to everyone.
Kerala is a state of diverse communities, vibrant local cultures and rapidly changing social and economic landscapes. We believe that important stories are not limited to major cities or headline-making events. Developments in our towns, villages and local communities matter just as much.
Sahodaran.in therefore gives special attention to Kerala news at the grassroots level, covering stories and developments from different districts and communities across the state.
We strive to present news in a clear and understandable manner while providing context that helps readers better understand what is happening around them.
At Sahodaran.in, we value accuracy, responsibility, fairness and transparency.
We make every effort to verify information before publication and to distinguish news from opinion. We believe journalism carries a responsibility towards readers and society, and we aim to uphold that responsibility through honest and responsible reporting.
When errors occur, we believe in acknowledging and correcting them appropriately.
Sahodaran.in is not only about breaking news. We also aim to highlight stories that deserve attention — the people making a difference, issues affecting communities, emerging opportunities, changing trends and developments shaping Kerala’s future.
Our goal is to become a trusted digital destination for readers who want to understand what is happening in Kerala, why it matters and how it affects everyday life.
Our vision is to build a credible and independent digital news platform that connects Kerala’s people with the stories that matter.
As the digital media landscape continues to evolve, Sahodaran.in will continue to embrace new technologies and digital formats while keeping the fundamental principles of responsible journalism at the heart of everything we do.
